Making Nut Milks With Welles Press
Nut milks are generally very nutritious, lactose
free, and more pleasing to the palette. Almond milk, for example, is low in
calories and contains the nutrients magnesium, potassium, and Vitamin E. Your Welles
Press be used to maximize production in the process.
Instructions -
- Soak the nuts or seeds overnight in water. Then process the nuts, seeds and water
through your juicer or blender.
- With your Samson Juicer, use the Mincing Cone and no nozzle.
- With your Green Power Twin Gear Juicer, use the Crush Screen
and no knob.
- With a high speed blender such as a Vitamix blend the
mixture until it is smooth.
- Place the pulpy mixture from the juicer or blender into a
Welles Press clothe or bag. Put the cloth on the press and follow operations
instructions. Once the pulpy mixture is
dry, open the bag and remove the pulp that is left.
- Drink, refrigerate, or store your milk. The pulp can be integrated it into food
creations such as cakes, cookies, soups or other unique creative delicacies. You can also put it in your compost pile.
