 The Flojet accumulator water tank is intended for installation in a pumped water system controlled by a pressure switch. It can also be used with air-driven pumps. The tank serves as a storage vessel as well as a pulsation dampener for pressurized fluid. The accumulator tank smoothes water flow and reduces on/off switch cycling of the pump by lessening the variation in pressure and flow between the pump and system discharge points. The even flow of water provides more consistent control of hot water temperature with systems using instant water heaters.

PRE-CHARGE PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT The accumulator tank is pre-charged at 10 psi (0.7 bar). If your electric pump cut-in pressure is significantly different you may adjust the tank pressure to better suit your particular installation. To increase air pressure in tank, shut pump off, open a faucet to relieve system pressure and adjust pre-charge pressure using ordinary tire gauge and tire pump at valve in end of tank. Pressure should be checked from time to time.
