These are beautiful hand-crafted stoneware pots manufactured in Germany. Decorated and designed for use in making this traditional German holiday treat. Originally this was a way to preserve summer fruits for consumption during the winter. Fruits were picked at their peak from late spring until early autumn, fermented in rum for several more months, and then enjoyed through the holidays and into the New Year.
