Centrifugal Juicers - Centrifugal juicers
have been around longer than any other style juicer. They operate at high speeds and juice fruits
and vegetables quickly. Centrifugal
style juicers use a flat plate / blade to shred the produce into pulp. High speed centrifugal force then pushes the pulp
against a strainer forcing the juice through small holes and keeping the pulp
in the basket. Some juicers have a pulp
ejection chute. Centrifugal juicers spin at rates up to 15,000 RPM and are not
efficient in juicing wheatgrass, spinach, lettuce, parsley and other greens and
herbs. Cleanup is fairly easy, although single
auger juicers are easier.
