2/9/2016 – Most dehydrators had temperature variances at each pre-set heat setting. Can you tell me the variance for this dehydrator? . . .
Response From Healthnut /Samson /Miracle Exclusives: We have tested the machine extensively for temperature consistency. The dehydrator once went to 96 on the 94 degree setting. For all the other settings the temperature never got hotter than the setting. Below the setting the temperature was never more that 2-4 degrees lower.
6/5/2015 – I heard you can use a dehydrator to make yogurt. Can this be done in the Samson?
Response From Healthnut /Samson /Miracle Exclusives: I suppose you can use the dehydrator in that way. Most experts suggest bringing your liquid almost to a boil first (180F or so.) That you would have to do on a stove. You then let it cool down to an incubation range of 110°F to 115°. That part can be done in the dehydrator.. Take out the trays and put it in there. Set temperature to 113°F and the temperature to somewhere between 5-10 hours.
